Delos, the holy island of the ancient Greeks, offers a vast open-air museum and is easily reached from Mykonos. There are excellent bus services to the beaches and Ano Mera. However there is a taxi station in the central square of Mykonos' waterfront.

Some of the best beaches are on the south side of the island and sheltered from the prevailing wind. Platis Yialos is a sandy beach, while Paradise and Super Paradise are the nudist beaches. Psarou, Kalafatis and Agios Stephanos are outstanding golden beaches. Kalo Livadi is a quiet beach.
